Tom founded Gilbert Architects in 1988 with the goal of assembling a talented and passionate staff that would specialize exclusively in exceptional educational facility design. Since that time, Tom has been responsible for, and provided oversight to, over 120 major and hundreds of minor educational facility projects valued at over a billion dollars ranging from educational planning to award-winning design for new facilities, renovations, and additions. Tom's widespread knowledge on site conditions, energy-efficient mechanical systems, and State reimbursements is used as a resource for each project.
