OUR HISTORY
Since 1988, Gilbert Architects has partnered with school districts to plan, design, and deliver learning environments that support students, educators, and communities.
From feasibility studies to major renovations and new facilities, our work is grounded in clear communication, careful coordination, and an understanding of how schools operate, often while remaining fully occupied.
That approach has led to hundreds of successful capital projects delivered on time, on budget, and with long-term value in mind.
Based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with offices in Maryland and Delaware, we serve educational clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
In 2023, Gilbert Architects joined Garmann Miller, expanding our reach and resources while maintaining the local relationships and hands-on service our clients expect.
Today, the majority of our work comes from repeat partnerships, reflecting the trust built through consistent follow-through, practical problem-solving, and a shared commitment to strong public schools.
