The Interview

Q: What’s your job title, and what do you do day to day?

A: I’m a BIM modeler.

Day to day, I typically work on the creation of architectural drawings using drafting software. I also love being involved in the operation of the company as a whole and helping out wherever needed.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your job and our company culture?

A: My favorite part of my job is that every day presents a new problem to solve, and no two days feel monotonous.

My favorite part about Gilbert is how much effort is put into educating the younger generation and how we’re set up to succeed.

Q: What’s your favorite project or achievement and why?

A: My favorite project so far has been working on a specialized athletic training facility. There’s been a lot of intricate detailing involved, and the overall design process has been really intriguing.

Q: What does an ideal weekend look like for you?

A: I like a mix of busy and relaxed weekends. The perfect weekend would be going out and doing activities on Saturday, then staying home and doing nothing on Sunday.

Q: What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?

A: The best trip I’ve taken was to Puerto Rico. It was my first trip as an adult without parents, so I loved the newfound freedom. It was also just an amazing place to visit, and the food was great!

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: I really love a good doughnut.

Q: Who’s someone you admire and why?

A: My first-year professor at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Tedd Williams. I admire his ability to balance a hectic schedule while achieving many of the things I hope to do one day (e.g., having a family, running a successful business, and having enough time to stay healthy and go to the gym).
