The Interview

Q: What’s your job title, and what do you do day to day?

A: I am a BIM Modeler. Day to day, I create and manage 3D Revit models and come up with solutions to tackle clients’ requests.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your job and our company culture?

A: My favorite part of my job is learning and gaining more knowledge from my coworkers, while also designing buildings and problem-solving different issues that may arise with a particular project.

Q: What’s your favorite project or achievement and why?

A: My favorite achievement is completing the design of a high school for a proposal, because it was the first project of that size (500,000+ SF) that I had ever worked on, and I was trusted to come up with the design. Although my design was ultimately not chosen, it was received well by those in the office, and I learned a lot during the process.

Q: What does an ideal weekend look like for you?

A: An ideal weekend for me is spending time with my girlfriend on Saturday, going to church with her on Sunday morning, and then spending time with her and our families afterward.

Q: What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?

A: The best trip I’ve ever been on was visiting Fallingwater with my girlfriend. She and I got to learn more about each other during the drive down there, and I had the opportunity to visit a wonderful building that I learned about while I was in school. Learning more about it during our tour of the building was a great experience.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: My favorite food is shawarma.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, or your favorite inspiring quote?

A: The best piece of advice I got was to get up and take care of myself and my family. It came at a time when I was trying to figure out what type of man I wanted to be, and it pushed me to realize that I want to become a biblical man who does not compromise on his values—to provide for my family, take care of them, be there for them, and lead them in the right and best way we should go.
