Beaver Creek Elementary School

GROWTH WITHOUT DISRUPTION
Beaver Creek Elementary needed more space, but a full replacement school wasn’t the goal.
At the same time, pausing daily instruction for construction was not an option.
Through careful planning and phased construction, the district pursued a targeted renovation and addition that kept the school operational throughout the school year.
Strategic sequencing minimized disruption, maintained safe circulation, and supported uninterrupted learning. The project addressed immediate enrollment pressures while strengthening the building for long-term use.
SPACES THAT WORK BETTER EVERY DAY
The additions and renovations were designed to improve how the school functions day to day, in addition to providing much-needed space.
The design adds eight new classrooms and introduces a new multipurpose room with a gym and kitchen, expanding opportunities for instruction, events, and community use. The existing gym is repurposed as a cafeteria, allowing spaces to be rebalanced without unnecessary expansion.
Interior renovations further improve functionality through upgraded corridors, a reconfigured administrative suite, and new accommodation rooms. Together, these changes create a more efficient layout that supports learning, supervision, and flexibility across the school.

SAFER ARRIVAL + CLEARER CIRCULATION
Safety and access were key priorities.
The project introduces a new secure main entrance and a reworked site layout that separates bus and car traffic, reducing congestion during arrival and dismissal.
An expanded staff parking lot and a clearly defined drop-off zone improve daily circulation, while reorganized administrative spaces align directly with the main entry. These updates make routines smoother for students, families, and staff while reinforcing security and visibility at the front door.
DESIGNED FOR LONG-TERM VALUE
The additions complement the existing building while introducing a clear, modern presence. New construction uses structural steel framing, cementitious panel siding, and face brick, paired with curtain wall assemblies and expansive windows that bring daylight deeper into learning spaces.
Behind the scenes, the project includes a full HVAC system replacement, LED lighting throughout, and improved stormwater management through an underground detention basin and rain garden. Together, these upgrades create a school that is efficient, adaptable, and ready to serve the district for decades to come.
