Rebuilding an operational campus in phases
Replacing a 1,600-student high school on its existing footprint required precise sequencing to keep learning uninterrupted.
Our team established an isolated construction zone by relocating existing modular units and adding a temporary two-story modular building, creating 40 temporary classrooms to house students safely during construction.
Demolition of the original facility occurred in distinct stages, making way for new construction to open seamlessly in phases without disrupting daily operations.
Athletic + academic debuts
The athletic wing opened first after 18 months of construction, featuring a 1,500-seat main gymnasium, an auxiliary gym, a fitness center, dedicated wrestling and training rooms, and a natatorium with a 10-lane pool, movable bulkhead, and diving area.
One year later, the second phase delivered 87 modern classrooms, specialized science labs, central administrative and guidance suites, a media center, a technology forum room, and an expanded cafeteria.
Modern media center
Central to the academic wing is a bright, multi-story media center designed as a modern hub for research, collaborative study, and quiet reading.
Large windows flood the open space with natural light, while flexible seating and integrated digital tech allow students to seamlessly transition between individual research and group projects.
Performing arts center + revised campus flow
The final phase introduced a comprehensive performing arts wing, complete with an 800-seat auditorium, a black box theater, scene shops, music rooms, and digital media labs.
Outside, a civic plaza connects the main entry while shifting staff, student, and event parking to the rear, creating more green space.
Traffic flow was completely overhauled by isolating bus drop-off zones behind the school and creating dedicated parent drop-off loops on the athletic and arts sides of the building.
